About NHF

The Norwegian Association of Marine Scientists (NHF) is an academic forum for marine research, management and industry. NHF is the only organization that brings together marine scientists in Norway. The Association was founded in 1949 and has approximately 400 members. NHF works with marine research associations in the region.

NHF arranges an annual conference (Havforskermøtet) each fall, which is a great opportunity to meet people from different marine disciplines. In connection with this, the NHF Annual Meeting is also held, dealing with matters concerning marine research nationally and make choices for election to the association.
